The days are getting longer, seed displays are popping up in shops, and spring is on its way! It's a wonderful time to start scheming and dreaming about our gardens.
I am full of gratitude for the overwhelming positive response to my garden coaching last spring, and have decided to expand this project. Thank you to everyone who booked me last spring— it means so much, and was an honour to support you!
A little about garden coaching: I am available to speak with you and offer suggestions, ideas, and guidance about your garden goals, dreams, and challenges. I can consult on gardens of any size, whether it's just a few containers on your balcony or a big patch of earth. While I am based in Toronto (hardiness zone 6/USDA zone 5), much of what we can talk about is applicable in different regions.
A little more about me: My strongest expertise is in growing vegetables and herbs, with secondary skills (and big love!) in flowers and perennials. I’ve been gardening for over 10 years (3 years professionally), have worked with growing veggies, flowers, and herbs in a wide variety of different conditions, and am an Organic Master Gardener. I recently completed a 3-month fellowship on a 3-acre diversified organic vegetable farm, using some no-till techniques. I am excited to work with gardeners of all levels, and most of all I want to help you grow beautiful (and delicious) things and have a joyful experience in your garden.
I am offering 30-min coaching sessions on zoom. New this year, I am offering coaching packages for a discounted rate to access my support multiple times during the season. I am also piloting a "garden buddy" service new this year, local to Toronto only & on a request basis.
30-minute zooms are perfect for an overview, troubleshooting specific queries, offering feedback on your plans and ideas. We will talk about your specific site using photos that you provide of the space. Sessions are $45. Book using my scheduler
Coaching packages are a great way to treat yourself to more sustained support through the season, at a package discount of 3 sessions for $110. Enjoy the extra accountability of knowing you have a few sessions to use as the season unfolds. The three-session structure is intended as a spring start, midsummer check-in & pivoting, and fall wrap-up, but you are welcome to spread them across the season at a time interval that makes sense for you! Hit reply to this email if you’re interested.
Garden buddy service is when I come and work with you on a hands-on garden task you need to get done, such as planting, pruning, or spring/fall tidying— great for accountability, a morale boost, and completing the job faster and with less overwhelm than might be possible alone! This is also a great opportunity for hands-on learning related to the tasks we are working on. Book a free exploratory call to discover if your project is a good fit.
Fine print: 2-hour minimum booking, local to Toronto only.
Creating an overall landscape design is beyond the scope of my skills; however, I may be able to provide referrals. I am excited to work together and support you in your gardening projects!
with care and tending,
Elena
